Rachel’s Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a 100% barrel fermented and aged Sauvignon Blanc from the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA. This Is a very special bottling made as a surprise wedding gift for my now wife - Rachel. In February 2025 Rachel and I were tasting through the Sauvignon Blanc lots and we came to a particular barrel that Rachel loved. I discreetly marked it and even took her picture with it, but kept my plan to bottle that barrel separately a secret. Upon further tastings and blending trials the whole winemaking team determined this was the best barrel in the cellar. I guess Rachel knew well before the rest of us. At our rehearsal dinner on September 12 , 2025 I presented the first bottle of Rachel’s Reserve to her in front th of our friends and families.
