Field Day

A super unique wine - a field blend of equal parts Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. All harvested on the same day from Vogelzang Vineyard in Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara. A field blend is when you harvest the grapes together, bring them into the winery as one lot, and, essentially, blend them from the beginning. When I made the decision to make this wine I figured it was the best way to test if God was on Slouch Hat’s side because the blend was set from the outset and I just had to call harvest and let whatever happen happen. I’ll let you decide, but I think something or someone was smiling on Slouch Hat on this one.
